Week 3 Game Review

FINAL SCORE: HIDDEN DRAGONS 10 VS CROUCHING TIGERS 16

HIDDEN DRAGONS (2-1) CROUCHING TIGERS (1-2)

The Tigers must have been busy sharpening their claws this past week, because they tore up the field this Saturday, beating the Dragons 16-10. No one can deny, a strong wind from the south came gusting into Shanghai this weekend, propelling the Tigers past the Dragons for their first league victory; Holly Walker (6G, 3A) from Ningbo set the pace right away with 3 quick consecutive goals for the Tigers. Walker, a rookie to Shanghai Lacrosse made it clear that she is certainly not a rookie to the game. Impact player, Kimberly Link was second in scoring (5G, 2A). Tiger captain, Morgan Banaszek (2A, 5A) never walks off the field without racking up some impressive stats, and this game was no different. Defensive specialist, Graeme Durovich (2G, 2A) shutdown the Dragons offense many times to help solidify the Tigers lead. Meanwhile, the Dragons were missing the presence of defensive captain Suzanne Van Balveren, and top scoring threat, Jesse Porter. Hayley Fix (7G, 1A) lead the Dragons in scoring. Veteran Tori Larson (2G, 1A) and Shay Bisset (1G) were primarily responsible for a rally during the second half. However, the push wasn't quite enough to catch up to the lead Tigers had secured early in the game. Hidden Dragons leading the season (2-1), with the Crouching Tigers not far behind (1-2)
