Week 2 Game Review

FINAL SCORE: BEAVERS 11 VS COUGARS 17

BEAVERS (0-2) COUGARS (2-0)

Yet another great weekend for some lacrosse. Beautiful weather, fierce competition and new faces all around. 

 This week the cougars were able to hold on to a consistent lead until the end, with a final score of 17-11. Tori’s speed and stick skills were no match for the Beaver defence adding 7 goals for the Cougars. Morgan Banaszek and Hayley Fix each scoring 5 more for a total of 17 goals. Although the Beavers picked up the intensity in the second half, they were unable to catch up. Jesse Porter had 6 goals while Suzanne Van Balveren and Kimberly Link each scored 2, and Hualing Yu added a single this game. We also had a great showing of players new to the game, improving with every shift! Rookie Lucy Anne will definitely be a player to look out for this season!

With the Cougars off to an early start in the season the teams are excited to see what the rest of the season will bring.
