Week 3 Game Review

FINAL SCORE: BEAVERS 10 VS COUGARS 21

BEAVERS (0-3) COUGARS (3-0)

That’s another win for the Cougars this week with a 21-10 defeat over the Beavers. Although the score got away from the Beavers we saw some great competitive lacrosse this weekend. 

Cougar player Maguire Padley’s 10 goals deserved an equal celebration that night at the season opener gathering. Shaina Denny was also a huge asset this week with 3 goals and 4 assists. The Cougars saw a number of other players contribute to their win this week including Ariel Luo with 3, Hayley Fix with 2, and Sarah Smith, Christine Haas and Tori with one each. 

Not only were the Cougars strong on offence, but the Beavers could not handle the Cougars high pressure defence. The Beavers saw Holly Walker, Katie Arnold, Suzanne Van Balveren and Jesse Porter contribute to the Beavers 10 goals. The Beavers may be a young team, but with a few more weeks of development we expect to see a lot of our dedicated and talented rookies stepping up.
